We have expanded into solar and wind power generation while progressively planning for aquavoltaics, energy storage, and supercharging markets for electric vehicles. Through our three main business units—power development, asset management, and smart electricity services—we have successfully transitioned into a "Smart Green Energy Enterprise." Our rapid growth in the green energy sector demonstrates our commitment to expanding the use of green energy as a response to the threat of global warming. At the same time, we uphold principles of transparent governance, openly disclosing performance and progress at each stage, showcasing our unwavering commitment to sustainable development while generating profits for the Company.

Since its founding in 2016, HDRE has been on a mission to create a better future. In recent years, alongside the global challenges of climate change, HDRE has turned its attention to biodiversity. Recognizing the inextricable link between species extinction and environmental pollution, we are actively working to prevent biodiversity loss. In response to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity, HDRE Chairman Yuan-Yi Hsieh formally signed and approved the company's "Biodiversity Policy" just before the 2024 New Year.
According to the Convention on Biological Diversity, biodiversity encompasses all life on Earth—including plants, animals, microorganisms, and their ecosystems—capable of coexisting within ecological networks. If no action is taken, authoritative environmental scientists warned more than three years ago in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that human activities are accelerating the planet toward a sixth mass extinction, with millions of species at risk.
Guided by this policy, HDRE pledges to avoid development in areas recognized domestically or internationally for their rich biodiversity. We uphold our core values of sustainable operation and harmonious coexistence with nature, setting a goal to achieve zero net deforestation and zero net loss, aiming for a net positive impact on biodiversity by 2050.
Beyond environmental initiatives, HDRE has also adopted a "Human Rights Policy" and plans to launch a "Human Rights Due Diligence" program in 2024, further aligning with the SDGs and our commitment to sustainable development.
HDRE places significant importance on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the United Nations in 2015, which aim to address the global environmental, social, and economic crises. We regard the SDGs as our blueprint and integrate ESG principles into our operational strategies. As 2024 approaches, global climate governance is entering a more critical phase. Simultaneously, we are facing the continuous challenge of COVID-19 mutations and spread. The COP28 climate summit at the end of 2023 once again highlighted the urgency of action in response to high carbon emissions, the depletion of natural resources, and the exacerbation of poverty and inequality, making the pursuit of a sustainable future more critical than ever. Guided by the SDGs, HDRE integrates the principles of sustainable development into our operational strategies, ensuring that we are prepared to meet these challenges head-on.
