Message from the President

HDRE strives to become a leading private smart power company. Through our "Golden Triangle" of power generation, energy storage, and electricity sales, combined with our TITAN smart green power system, we are fully poised to meet the demand and supply of green electricity. We are dedicated to making "Smart Green, Accessible Green" a reality, and contributing to Taiwan's 2050 net-zero transformation goals.
In a significant stride towards sustainability, starting in 2022, we undertook independent inventory of our greenhouse gas emissions, verified by third parties. Compared to our baseline year (2021), we reduced carbon emissions by 17.7% in 2022, generating revenue of NT$23.8 million per ton of carbon emissions. Carbon productivity increased by 130%, making us more competitive than in 2021. Regarding green energy usage, since August 2022, our Taipei HQ and Taichung Office have achieved 100% green energy usage. HDRE aims for its Taipei office to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2025 and plans to achieve net-zero targets at all its offices across Taiwan by 2030. Moving forward, through our subsidiary Star Exchange, we are eager to assist more organizations in transitioning to green energy.
We are also dedicated to advancing our aquavoltaics projects, which emphasize sustainable practices in aquaculture operations. We meticulously respect and consider local water quality, climatic conditions, ecological factors, and the economic viability of species, tailoring our project designs to meet the specific needs of aquaculture production and photovoltaic operations under varying local conditions. Furthermore, we are poised to infuse capital, technology, and additional resources to elevate the aquaculture industry. By reinforcing partnerships with existing aquaculture farmers and sales channel partners, we aim to forge a robust, sustainable economic ecosystem within the aquavoltaics sector. We aspire to harness green energy as a pivotal strategy to meet net-zero carbon objectives and to address significant challenges within Taiwan's aquaculture industry, such as an aging workforce, experience transfer gaps, and inadequate infrastructure investments. These efforts are crucial as we strive to realize our sustainable development goals.
